We understand that our prices are higher than the MRP mentioned on the Indian cards, and the imported cards are also expensive compared to the prices on international websites. We want to provide a clear explanation of why this is the case.

Indian MRP Cards

One factor contributing to the higher prices on our website is that we procure our stock from various sources in India, mostly diecast car collectors around the country. Hot Wheels produces car models in limited quantities, with popular ones being manufactured in very low numbers. This leads to scarcity, and the demand is very high in comparison to the availability of such cars. So, the collectors who find such cars at offline stores, tend to sell them at higher rates.

Coming to the Maximum Retail Price, the MRP for Hot Wheels in 2023 was Rs 149 and, in 2024, it was Rs 179. To get popular Hot Wheels cars, like Bugatti Bolide, Ford Mustang Dark Horse, Mercedes-Benz 560 SEC, and Toyota Supra, we pay 2x or 3x the MRP to the collectors. Then we add DTDC courier charges, 12% GST, payment gateway commission, website expenses, and some other miscellaneous expenses as well, and then our profit.
